  • Tofino Hotels & Motels (11)
  • Hotels provide sleeping accommodations on a room/suite basis and feature a front desk for customer service. Each guest room must have a private bath and/or shower. Many hotels have additional facilities like a pool, exercise room or sauna. Hotels are usually located near other facilities.


  • Tofino Bed & Breakfasts (37)
  • Bed and Breakfasts provide short-term lodging in private homes or small buildings converted for this purpose. Usually occupied by the owner or operator, Bed and Breakfasts contain no more than 20 rooms. A continental or full-breakfast must be offered and included in the room rate.


  • Tofino Home Accommodators (1)
  • Home Accommodators provide short-term lodging in private homes occupied by the owner. Home accommodators are similar to bed & breakfasts except that they do not offer breakfast.


  • Tofino Lodges (2)
  • A lodge is a detached building consisting of a group of single room units. A central, common area is often used for guest activities and/or relaxing. Lodges are not located next to other buildings and are no more than three (3) storeys high. Lodges are most often located in isolated areas.


  • Tofino Resorts (8)
  • A resort is usually a hotel with added attractions on the premises, making it a self-contained vacation experience. Resorts cater mainly to vacationers or tourists (as opposed to overnight travellers). The site of a resort is usually large, and there may be a beach, lake, ocean, as well as other attractions and activities such as a golf course, tennis courts, etc. Structured activities are usually offered, with or without supervision.


  • Tofino Vacation Home Rentals (76)
  • Vacation Homes are fully furnished houses/condominiums that come with full kitchens and laundry facilities. These homes are available for rent for at least six (6) months out of the year.


  • Tofino Backcountry Accommodation (2)
  • Backcountry accommodation relates to any accommodation that does not have road access. This means that guests must walk, ski, hike or fly in.


  • Tofino Hostels (2)
  • Hostels are budget accommodations with at least some dormitory-style beds and/or shared bathrooms. Private rooms/bathrooms may be offered in addition to this. Modestly priced hotels do not qualify for the hostel directory.


  • Tofino Cabins, Chalets & Cottages (5)
  • Cabins, Cottages and Chalets are self-contained, independent lodging units often located in isolated areas. They cannot be attached to other structures (including each other) and must be furnished.


  • Tofino Inns (4)
  • Inns operate much like hotels but are smaller in size and capacity. Inns must have a staffed front desk and consist of less than 30 rooms. In general, the entrance to bedrooms is made through a lobby or other common room. Breakfast is often offered, but not mandatory.


  • Tofino Campgrounds (5)
  • Campgrounds provide space and/or hookups for tents, tent trailers, recreational vehicles, or 5th wheels.


  • Tofino Eco Accommodations (2)
  • Accommodations listed in this category operate within the guidelines published by the International Ecotourism Society and the United Nations.


  • Tofino Conference Accommodation with Facilities (3)
  • World Web’s conference accommodation providers must offer meeting space and guest rooms for a minimum of 50 people. Catering and presentation equipment such as a podium, projector, microphone, etc are required.
